Portable speaks out against Olamide amidst rumors of a falling out with Asake, stirring reactions in the Nigerian music scene.

Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has sparked discussions by openly criticizing famed rapper and music executive Olamide regarding his supposed rift with former YBNL member Asake.

Speculation has been circulating about a dramatic separation between Asake and Olamide’s YBNL Nation.

In a video posted on his social media, Portable responded to the rumors by expressing criticism towards Olamide for allegedly mishandling the situation and voiced his own complaints about the rapper.

Portable shared his experience with Olamide during the creation of his hit song, Zazu.

The singer mentioned that Olamide only added a verse to the track instead of signing him to YBNL. He asserted that, despite this limited involvement, he feels even more grateful than Asake, who was reportedly signed and heavily backed by Olamide.

The artist who refers to themselves as the “Wahala Musician” additionally accused Olamide of taking his producer and dancer rather than offering him a record deal.

Portable expressed, “Olamide Baddo, if you had offered me a contract with your record label, I would have eagerly accepted. Instead of signing me, though, you took away my producer and promoter Kogbagidi.”

“The person you helped, Asake, is no longer interested. Even though I only received a verse from you, I’m more grateful than someone like Asake to whom you’ve given everything. If you promote me the same way as him, watch how I’ll progress even further.”
