This move is aimed at strengthening the business ties between the two countries. Dr Jose Zan, the Angolan Ambassador to Nigeria, emphasized the importance of this center during its inauguration, stating that both Nigeria and Angola have faced numerous challenges in obtaining Angolan visas from Port Harcourt.
Therefore, the establishment of this center is crucial to meet the travel needs of the Angolan community residing in the South South and South Eastern regions of Nigeria.
Dr Zan also highlighted his goal of improving the travel experience for both Angolan and Nigerian communities, and ensuring a seamless visa procurement process.
The CEO of Akwahelms Ltd, Mr Onyemaechi Ejindu, who is a partner in the center, expressed the center’s commitment to implementing professional strategies that would enhance travel experiences to Angola.
The presence of the collection center in Port Harcourt will also address the difficulties faced by individuals who previously had to travel to Lagos or Abuja for visa allocations.
The center aims to collaborate with other airlines to provide convenient travel options to Angola.
