According to Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson for the police force, the search is still ongoing for the six officers who went missing in Delta State.
Tragically, these officers were brutally murdered in Ohoro Forest, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State while attempting to rescue their colleagues.
Adejobi emphasized that, in accordance with the law, they cannot be declared dead until their bodies are recovered. The police have made some progress in the case, having arrested a total of nine suspects directly involved in the killings.
It is worth noting that this incident occurred around the same time that 17 military personnel were murdered in Delta State.
Despite these challenges, the military authorities remain determined to apprehend the masterminds of the attack and continue their efforts to combat criminal activities.
