Tein Jack-Rich, a former candidate for president under the banner of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 elections, has refuted accusations of bribery for a ministry post made against him by persons he has referred to as political rivals.

The APC scribe condemned those who allegedly ensnared him in the alleged wrongdoing and asserted that the accusations were politically motivated in order to damage his well-earned reputation.

Former Goodluck Jonathan assistant Jackson Ude said in a tweet that Jack-Rich bought a ministry job for Femi Gbajabiamila by paying him a whopping N500 million. Femi Gbajabiamila is Tinubu’s chief of staff.

The APC Chieftain, however, dismissed the allegations in a statement, calling the information connected to a former presidential adviser disgusting and utterly unsupported.

The former presidential candidate expressed shock that some people would be so audacious as to trash another’s reputation in order to achieve quick political advantage.

In his own words, “it has come to my knowledge and that of the family that within the past several days, politically sponsored agents have published a provocative, nasty, ludicrous, unjustified, disagreeable, and unfounded publication.

“Wherein, they are making a number of false accusations about Jack-Rich’s person and family with the express purpose of damaging my character and reputation.

“It is equally unfortunate that this is being done to buy political significance in the new political environment.

“On behalf of the family, we wish to state unequivocally clear that the allegations are not only unfounded and childish but also portray the nature and character of the persons and evil elements behind them; who are also well known for their political brigandage and desperation for political relevance,” the statement reads.

According to Obasanjonews24, oil tycoon Jack-Rich ran for president in the APC primaries but was defeated by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is currently in office.
