Police in Gombe capture the alleged killers of 58-year-old Aishatu Abdullahi

The accused assassins of Aishatu Abdullahi, a mother of eight, were taken into custody by the Gombe State Police Command on Sunday.

This happened less than 48 hours after some unidentified armed guys killed Abdullahi because she allegedly refused to give them her phone.

On Sunday, ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar announced the arrest on the X (formerly Twitter).

The state governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has instructed security agencies to use all available resources to find those responsible for the heinous murder that occurred on Saturday.

Yahaya also expressed to the grieving family the sympathies of the state’s residents and the government, calling the victim’s murder horrific.

“I want to be quite clear that anyone involved for this horrible and brutal conduct will not be able to evade justice.

“Our security agencies have been instructed to use every resource available to find the offenders and hold them accountable for their awful deeds.

“According to the police’s preliminary reports, the incident’s specifics are as horrible as a deep stain.

Our hearts break for the grieving family who are dealing with an unfathomable loss, for the Jekadafari community, as well as for all of the others who have been affected by the devastating fallout of this unfortunate occurrence, the speaker stated.
