His Royal Highness, Eze Cyprian Amadi-Worenwu, the Eze Risi Ohia-Emeri Abali of Rebisi, has been taken into custody by detectives from the Rivers State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on suspicion of posing a threat to the lives of retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli and his relatives.

After retired Justice Enebeli rendered a decision against Eze Amadi-Worenwu on March 28, 2023, in a dispute involving traditional chieftaincy, the latter is accused of threatening the former’s life.

Enebeli, a retired judge, filed a petition with the Commissioner of Police, alleging that Eze Amadi-Worenwu, offended by the ruling, threatened to murder him, his kids, and his employees rather than using his constitutional right to appeal the decision.

Retired Justice Enebeli called on the police to step in immediately before Eze Amadi-Worenwu carried out his threats in the petition.

The accused allegedly refused to accept the police invites, but authorities eventually caught up with him.

Eze Amadi-Worenwu is reportedly being held at the State CID, is the subject of an investigation, and could be charged in court, according to Obasanjonews.com.
