The police in Funtua, Katsina State, have detained Abdulrahman Junaidu as a possible job racketeer for allegedly providing phoney employment letters and engaging in fraud.

Two gullible young guys, Abdullahi Abubakar and Isiya Iliyasu, allegedly received job offers from Junaidu.

According to a statement made by Kaduna Electric’s Head of Corporate Communication, AbdulAzeez Abdullahi, the bubble popped when Abdullahi Abubakar and Isiya Iliyasu presented the fraudulent employment letters for documentation as new employees at the Company’s Zaria Regional Office.

It was claimed that Junaidu was pursued to Funtua by the company’s security division, working with the Police, before being detained there by the Funtua Police Division.

A preliminary investigation by the police found that the suspect was collaborating with a Sokoto resident named Aliyu Sani, who is presently at large, to scam unwary members of the public of millions of Naira.

A spokeswoman for Kaduna Electric stated that the business will use all available means to ensure that the suspects would be held fully accountable.

He stated, “It has been proven that Aliyu Sani and Abdulrahman Junaidu have been issuing fraudulently fake employment letters and other sensitive documents of Kaduna Electric.”

He declared that the behaviour was immoral and illegal, and promised to hold those responsible accountable.

He urged the general public to be wary of con artists and to report such crooks to the business.

He claimed that Aliyu Sani, the second suspect and accused mastermind of the crime, was being pursued by the police, and that the two would soon appear in court.

He said, “Kaduna Electric has strong security and recruitment systems that make it difficult for fake employment to go unnoticed.”
