Police Detain 21-Year-Old Woman for Suspected Baby Theft
According to the Lagos State Police Command, a 21-year-old lady only known as Blessing has been taken into custody for allegedly snatching a one-month-old baby boy.
The arrest was verified by the Command’s public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.
According to Hundeyin, the baby’s mother—whose identity was withheld—reported the incident to the Elere Police Division on Monday at 2:30 p.m.

According to him, the baby’s mother claimed that about 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, while she and her child were asleep at home, Blessing allegedly took her child and fled.
The person who created the graphic for the command claimed that the suspect went to church to testify about having given birth to the child after robbing it.
According to Hundeyin, the infant was found on her in the Agbotikuyo neighbourhood of Agege, where the suspect was eventually located.
He declared that the case was still being investigated.
