Police confirm that three-year-old student from Aba died after falling from the school

David Jacob Etim, a three-year-old student, died after falling from the Aba school building, according to the Abia State Police Command, which has certified the tragedy as a “sudden and unnatural death.”

The incident occurred at Emerald International School, which is situated close to Crystal Park Road in Aba, and the late Etim was a student there, according to a police statement.

The statement added that on October 17, 2023, Mr. Jacob Etim Udo, the victim’s father, reported the incidence to the Ndiegoro divisional headquarters. It was signed by ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Abia Command.

The announcement also stated that Emerald International School officials were being questioned about the event and that the case had been forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department, or SCID, for covert investigations.

Along with two others, Mr. Jacob Etim Udo reported a case at the Ndiegoro divisional headquarters on October 17, 2023, at around 2:00 PM. A 3-year-old student at Emerald International School, which is located close to Crystal Park Road in Aba, was involved in a tragic occurrence that was reported by Mr. Udo.

Mr. Udo claims that his son was transferred right away to the hospital after falling from the school’s multistory building. The child unfortunately lost his life in spite of all.

“We are still conducting an investigation, thus the child’s body is being autopsied. The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has been tasked with taking a thorough and covert look at the circumstances underlying this regrettable tragedy. There are presently ongoing interrogations with school administrators, according to the statement.
