Police capture suspect in viral video killing of ABSU student

The Abia State Police Command has successfully captured Emmanuel Victor, the main suspect in the tragic murder of Emmanuel Uche, a student at Abia State University, Uturu.

Emmanuel Uche, a final year student at ABSU, was brutally killed on March 11, 2024, by individuals believed to be members of a cult group.

The disturbing incident, which occurred in front of Miracle Lodge, went viral on social media platforms, sparking outrage and shock among the public.

However, the Abia State Police Command announced on Thursday that their dedicated team of detectives had managed to apprehend the key suspect in the murder case, who was identified as Victor Emmanuel.

In a press release issued by ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Police Command, it was stated that the arrest was made based on credible intelligence received on April 18, 2024, at approximately 1100 hrs.

The suspect was captured in the viral video carrying out the heinous act at Miracle Lodge, ABSU.

The press release further mentioned that the principal suspect has admitted to his involvement in the crime and is currently in police custody.

The Abia Police Command assured the public that the suspect will face legal charges and be brought before the court to answer for his actions.
