Petition against Tinubu is withdrawn by Action Alliance
No explanation for the withdrawal was given when the pre-hearing before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja began on Monday.
The Action Alliance has withdrawn their petition accusing Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president.
No explanation for the withdrawal was given when the pre-hearing of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal got underway on Monday in Abuja.
Oba Maduabuchi (SAN), a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and the leader of AA’s legal team, claimed to have submitted the case on behalf of the first and second petitioners.
Maduabuchi then formally requested to have the party’s petition withdrawn.
Another attorney had introduced himself as the AA representative before the withdrawal was announced.
After hearing from the respondents, the All Progressives Congress (APC), the President-elect, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Justice Haruna Tsammani subsequently dismissed the suit.
