Peter Obi asserts that individuals claiming to have received miracle alerts should face arrest, raising concerns about scams and accountability. Watch the video of his remarks and understand the context behind his statement.

Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has urged for the arrest of individuals who assert during church testimonies that they “miraculously” received credit alerts following prayer.

It is quite common in Nigerian churches for people to share testimonials of receiving unexpected credit alerts after praying, often described as “miraculous.”

On a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, Obi emphasized that it should be considered theft rather than the “miracle” that testifiers frequently assert.

“He mentioned that while God can bless efforts, productivity, and hard work, He cannot bestow blessings on someone who is idle. If anyone claims to have become wealthy through prayer alone without working for it, he suggested they should be scrutinized as it’s akin to taking money from others.”
