Charles Idahosa, a leader in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has applauded the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

The South-South zone’s representative on the PDP Board of Trustees, Idahosa, said the ruling was unmistakable and unequivocal.

A week ago, the Presidential victory Petition Tribunal affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s victory while dismissing complaints from Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

The tribunal had been contacted by Obi, Atiku, and their respective political parties in order to contest Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the victor of the presidential election on February 25, 2023.

On Tuesday, Idahosa, a former commissioner for information in the state of Edo, addressed journalists in Benin.

“The PEPT decision is flawless. Social media was a victim of the election. On social media, a lot of things occur that are impossible to verify.

“How can someone tell me that I won’t be president if I don’t win Abuja?

Are Abuja residents unique from other Nigerians? Why people have strong feelings about the PEPT ruling is beyond me.

“Some said the verdict document has a watermark… I’ve read the verdict, and it’s pretty straightforward and unambiguous. I think President Tinubu will restore Nigeria’s greatness,” he declared.
