PDP’s Ajayi Urges Ondo to Reject APC for Failure
PDP’s Ajayi urges the people of Ondo to reject the APC, accusing them of failing to deliver on promises in the state.
Ondo State PDP gubernatorial candidate, Agboola Ajayi, says the state and its people have not done well under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the past eight years. The PDP candidate stated this at a press conference in Lagos on Friday.
He said Governor Lucky Aedatiwa and the APC gubernatorial candidate for the November 16 governorship election have failed to deliver on their promises. Ajayi, a former deputy governor of the state, said:

Any political party that deviates from this laid down principle of governance will definitely make a mistake and become a burden to the people. I have a clear vision of how this should work.”
He said the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu left many problems behind which were ameliorated but further worsened under the late Acting Governor, Mr Idatiwa, who took over after his death.
“The November 16 gubernatorial election therefore needs to be seriously considered as it will determine, shape or destroy the destiny of the state for the next four years,” he said.
He expressed disappointment with the course and outcome of the September election. 21st Edo Governorship Election, Ajayi said democracy cannot thrive when simple electoral practices are imposed.
According to him, those who are constitutionally empowered to protect Nigerians and ensure that the right is always done in elections must not let down the electorate.
