PDP leader Bwala claims that some members of the government are planning to have me arrested
PDP chieftain Daniel Bwala has sounded the alarm, alleging that senior figures at the Presidential Villa in Abuja were preparing to have him arrested on false charges.
Bwala previously served as a congressman for the All Progressives Congress, the party in power, before he switched to the PDP in the run-up to the general elections of 2023.
He made the accusation in a post on his social networking website X on Monday.
Bwala claimed that several influential figures close to the seat of power intended to have him arrested by security forces in order to discredit and silence him because he was upsetting the regime.
He stated, “Last night I acquired credible intelligence that some key people around this government’s seat of power (Presidential Aso Villa) are trying to use the security agencies to arrest me and take me into custody on false charges in order to discredit me and silence me.
“That I’m unsettling them and the government. Today, I want to let the world know that I have always been aware that my positions on the same faith ticket, which led to my quitting the APC, and my subsequent position as a political opposition would irritate the deep state and result in persecution for what I believe in and stand for.
Inform the world right away of their nefarious intentions if something bad occurs to me.
