The party’s national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba, made this announcement on Saturday in Abuja.
The group voiced worries for Aivoji’s security and well-being, especially in light of his advanced age.
According to Obasanjo News24, Aivoji was abducted while travelling from Ibadan to Lagos for a party job on the Lagos-Ibadan motorway.
Ologunagba denounced the wave of ransom kidnappings, senseless murders, community raids, and other acts of terrorism that have been occurring all over the nation.
He claimed that President Bola Tinubu needed to move quickly to ensure the release of everyone detained in kidnappers’ lairs across the nation in light of the terrible trend.
But our party values and honours the brave men and women in uniform for their nationalistic spirit, bravery, and tenacity in the face of kidnapping, terrorism, and other social injustices.
This is despite enormous obstacles.
The PDP demands that the security high command act quickly to ensure Aivoji’s release as well as the release of all other Nigerians who are being held captive in the camps of their kidnappers across the nation.
“At this crucial juncture, our party urges Nigerians to remain vigilant and extend their support to our security agencies as they work to protect our country,” stated Ologunagba.
