Victor Osimhen was on the verge of a hat-trick but an injury cut short his performance in a 6-goal thriller against Galatasaray.
Victor Osimhen showcased an outstanding performance by scoring twice in Galatasaray’s exhilarating 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa during their Turkish Super Lig match at RAMS Park, Istanbul on Saturday.
In just his third league appearance for the club, the 25-year-old Nigerian striker on loan netted two goals, bringing his total to four assists since joining the league leaders. His brace thrilled the home crowd.
Osimhen opened his scoring account in the 20th minute when he miscontrolled a cross, yet the ball fortuitously found its way past the goalkeeper and rolled into the net, much to the fans’ delight.
His second goal, occurring just eight minutes later, highlighted his exceptional striking ability. With a deep cross coming in, the former Lille star deftly controlled the ball despite pressure from a defender and unleashed a powerful volley into the top corner of the net, increasing Galatasaray’s lead to 2-0.

Mauro Icardi netted the third goal in the 34th minute, but Kasimpasa managed to reduce the deficit before halftime.
Regrettably, Osimhen could not complete a potential hat-trick as an injury forced him to leave the field at halftime.
Kasimpasa took advantage of his absence, mounting a late comeback to secure a point in the game’s final moments.
Despite the draw, Galatasaray stays unbeaten and continues to lead the Super Lig table with 19 points from seven matches. They maintain a four-point advantage over second-placed Samsunspor.
