The Nigerian Army stated on Monday that troops from the 302 Regiment, which is part of the 82 Division, demolished camps belonging to combatants of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed branch, the Eastern Security Network.

The operation was carried out in collaboration with the Anambra Vigilante Group at Oroma and Umuewelum Anam in the state’s Anambra West Local Government Area, according to Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director, Army Public Relations.

Nwachukwu added that the raid was part of ongoing clearance operations in South-East Nigeria to ensure peace and security.
