Ondo APC promises transparent Guber primary election

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has made it known that President Bola Tinubu will be satisfied with any candidate that emerges as the party’s representative on April 20.

The chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin, emphasized that any speculation about a potential crisis following the primaries should be disregarded. Adetimehin held a meeting with the aspirants at the APC secretariat in Akure, the state capital, and stressed that it is crucial for the party to avoid any internal conflicts leading up to the primaries.

Adetimehin further asserted that the APC is the most viable and stable party in the state, ensuring that victory will be secured in the upcoming governorship polls.

He expressed pride in the caliber of aspirants vying for the party’s ticket, highlighting that this demonstrates the party’s commitment to providing a fair and level playing field for all candidates.

The party chairman also urged the aspirants to be cautious with their statements in order to prevent any unnecessary tension in the political atmosphere.

He assured that the State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee, under his leadership, will fulfill their responsibilities despite any challenges that may arise.

Their aim is to ensure a free, fair, credible, and smooth primary election.

Adetimehin emphasized that due process will be followed in all party decisions, and they will adhere to existing laws, rules, and guidelines provided by the National Working Committee to allow party members to vote for the best candidate of their choice.
