Omojola is named the 2023 “Queen of Peace Nigeria
The winner of the 2023 Queen of Peace Nigeria International Pageant is Omolara Omojola, a 24-year-old candidate from Ekiti.
Omojola, an Ekiti State University graduate with a degree in tourism and hospitality management, was reportedly proclaimed the new queen on Friday night in Abuja, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
She won the Queen of Peace Nigeria 2023 competition, which was put on by the Messengers of Peace Foundation, after defeating 12 other competitors.
Ten contestants were crowned at the pageant’s grand finale, who were chosen from the six geopolitical regions of the nation.
Miss Hope Ameh was elected the Face of the Messengers of Peace Foundation, while Miss Ella Eze, who represented Enugu State, won the title of Queen of Peace International. Miss Esther Asuquo won the title of Queen of Peace Teen.
Other winners are Miss Favour Chukwu, Queen of Peace South-East, Miss Gloria Kongvong, Queen of Peace North-East, Miss Mary Ukor, Queen of Peace North-West, and Miss Maureen Onogu, Queen of Peace North Central.
Others include Miss Regina Ochuole, Queen of Peace South-South, and Miss Oluwaseun Fatoba, Queen of Peace South-West.
The annual celebration, according to National President and Messenger of Peace Dr. Suleiman Adejoh, is designed to encourage peaceful cooperation via pageantry.
According to Adejoh, each contender had to successfully complete a mentoring programme on how to foster national peace and harmony.
The major goal is to promote peace throughout the nation, regardless of tribe, gender, or religion.
The lead Queen would be responsible for promoting peace in Nigeria, while the international queen will be in charge of doing so through Nigerians who are currently residing overseas, according to him. The queens will represent the six geopolitical zones of the nation.
The new Queen of Peace Nigeria told NAN on the sidelines said she was thankful to God and the organisers for her triumph after the queens took the oath of office.
To educate Nigerians about the need of peaceful coexistence, Omojola said, “I intend to work with agencies and stakeholders that are interested in promoting peace in the country with passion.”
According to NAN, spectators were wowed by comedians, musicians, and other performers from the FCT and beyond the night of the performance. (NAN)
