This year’s Eid-el Kabir celebration was held at the Ilorin Central Praying Ground, where Muslim faithful gathered to observe the two rakah prayers alongside notable figures from the Ilorin Emirate, including Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Traditional title holders and the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, were present at the prayer session conducted by Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Soliu, the Chief Imam of Ilorin.
The Governor and his entourage, which included his brother and the Mutawali of Ilorin, Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq, arrived at the Eid prayer area at precisely 9:40 AM in a white coaster bus after weaving past the daily crush of cheering people and traffic jams.
