Nwabali penalty heroics lead Chippa United to Nedbank Cup semis
Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper for Chippa United, showcased his exceptional skills during the penalty shoot-out, securing his club’s qualification for the Nedbank Cup semi-final.
In their match against TS Galaxy, Nwabali led his South African club to a remarkable 2-0 victory, maintaining a clean sheet throughout the game.
Despite Chippa United leading 1-0, a penalty was awarded against them. However, Nwabali’s agility and expertise, which he had previously demonstrated at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, came to the forefront once again as he denied Pogiso Sanoka’s penalty from 12 yards.

Nwabali, proud of his performance, took to Twitter to express his satisfaction, stating, “This is my office!! Another clean sheet in the bag, back-to-back Nedbank Cup match wins prior to great team performance.
Onto the next round! Chili boys.”
