The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has officially released the schedule for the postponed matches involving Rivers United, a team that has been facing a backlog of fixtures in the league.

In order to accommodate Rivers United and ensure they complete all their outstanding matches, the NPFL has decided to take a temporary break after the upcoming matchday 32 games.

Following this break, the league is set to resume with matchday 33 fixtures scheduled to take place on the weekend of May 25-26, giving Rivers United ample time to catch up on their missed games.

The rearranged fixtures for Rivers United have been strategically planned by the NPFL to minimize travel logistics, with game dates being fixed based on the regional proximity of venues where the matches will be held.

As per the revised schedule, Rivers United will play their away fixtures against Remo Stars, Kwara United, and Sunshine Stars on May 5, May 8, and May 11 respectively, allowing them to focus on one match at a time.

After completing these away matches, Stanley Eguma’s side will travel to Umuahia for their matchday 29 game against Abia Warriors before returning home to face Niger Tornadoes in a matchday 22 tie, marking the end of their backlog of fixtures in the NPFL.
