Motorists are advised not to buy in a hurry since the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has guaranteed that there will be a sufficient supply of petroleum motor spirit (PMS) for the upcoming 30 days.

The NNPC management provided this guarantee in a statement issued on October 19, 2023, in reaction to the emergence of lines in some areas of Lagos and other locations across the nation.

The NNPC’s retail management acknowledged in a statement that the lines are caused by a smaller depot loadout at Apapa, Lagos, but predicted that the delays would end within a few days.

The declaration reads:

The statement read, “We assure all Nigerians that there is ample supply with the sufficiency of at least 30 days.”

However, the NNPC urged drivers to avoid making rash purchases because supply will return to normal over the following few days.
