Nigerian Army Reports Successful Rescue of 137 Kidnapped Kuriga Schoolchildren in Zamfara

The Defense headquarters has announced that the students who were abducted from Kuriga in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been successfully rescued in Zamfara State, as stated by the Director of Defense Media Operations, Edward Buba.

Buba revealed that a total of 137 hostages were rescued during the operation, which took place in the early hours of March 24th, 2024, following the abduction incident at LEA School Kuriga on March 7th, 2024.

The rescued hostages, consisting of 76 females and 61 males, were safely recovered in Zamfara State and will be handed over to the Kaduna State Government for further necessary actions as part of the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and secure the release of innocent hostages across the country.
