The NA wants to make it clear that the phoney online publication was created on purpose by some dishonest people in an attempt to mislead the public.

“It is imperative to highlight that the fictitious online Direct Short Service Portal 2023 is a fraud and should be clearly avoided, given the potential harm this phoney online publication could do to the mental health of prospective candidates and the general public.

“The NA has already started taking action to find the people responsible for the bogus webpage. The public is therefore urged to notify the NA of any questionable recruitment portal or activity,” the notification stated.

The statement went on to emphasise the Nigerian Army’s dedication to upholding a legitimate and transparent recruitment process, and it added that the official sources of information about recruitment are the official Nigerian Army website (https://army.mil.ng) and reputable social media sites like Instagram (HQNigerianArmy), Facebook (HQ Nigerian Army), and Twitter (@HQNigerianArmy).
