At all league games, the Nigeria Football Federation has advised match officials to dress professionally.
Alhaji Babagana Kalli Kachalla, the chairman of the NFF Match Commissioner Committee, said this at the Southern Province 2023 NFF Match Commissioners Seminar held in Abeokuta.
Kachalla mentioned that the nation’s football governing body has voiced concerns about the rising trend of referees donning jerseys while officiating games.
In his remark, he stated, “I’d also like to remind the match commissioners that when a task was assigned to them, Please, let’s try to dress correctly.

“That is to appear corporate while serving as a match commissioner. You are in charge of running the match’s administration.
Since the match is in your own supervision and not the control of any state secretaries, you should have complete control over it.
“Each match commissioner should be aware of their operations and carry out the task given in a timely manner. The match commissioners should constantly try to work together to avoid the Committee’s diversity.
“Be in your suit or in your blazer, and the committee will not permit any match commissioners to use foreign club jersey or Nigerian club jersey during the technical coordination meeting.”
