The demise of Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has been labeled by Abia State Governor, Alex Otti as a major loss to both Nigerians and Igbo people across the globe.

According to a press release from his Chief Press Secretary, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, Otti stated that Iwuanyanwu was both a patriot and someone who cared deeply for his community.

Eze Linus Nto Mba, the Chairman of Abia State council of traditional rulers, also spoke about the development and expressed his sorrow over Iwuanyanwu’s passing. He stated that as a former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, he was a vocal advocate against the struggles faced by Igbo people both in Nigeria and across borders.

The monarch stated that Iwuanyanwu’s passing dealt a significant blow to Ndigbo. He further emphasized that the late Nigerian played a pivotal role in unifying and strengthening Igbo communities through initiatives like employment opportunities for youths and educational advancements.

According to Eze Mba, Iwuanyanwu was instrumental in uniting the Igbo people and driving their industrialization efforts during his lifetime. Therefore, with his passing, the Igbo nation has suffered a significant loss.
