Nasarawa police conduct successful raid on kidnappers’ hideout, saving 14 hostages
The Anti-kidnapping squad of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command successfully rescued 14 individuals who had been kidnapped.
The rescue operation took place at Ukya village, near the Nasarawa state bordering the FCT, on Wednesday at approximately 5:30 pm. According to SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, one of the kidnappers was neutralized by the police, while the others managed to escape to a nearby forest with gunshot wounds.
Fortunately, all the hostages were unharmed and have been reunited with their families.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, reiterated his commitment to eradicating criminal activities in the FCT and urged residents to report any suspicious activities promptly.
