The hat worn by Napoleon Bonaparte brought well over $2 million at auction. In contrast, a collection of Princess Diana’s gowns brought in $1.2 million at one time.

One renowned person’s hat just sold for millions of dollars.

According to CNN, the hat belonged to the royal family of Monaco prior to the auction, so history aficionados would probably find it interesting.

Sounds like a lot of money, and Napoleon wasn’t sold for that much when we contrast this transaction with some other royal objects that were put up for auction. Do you understand?
