Finally, the names of the commissioner-nominees that Governor Hyacinth Alia just submitted to the House have been made public by Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly Hyacinth Dajoh.
On July 27, the governor sent a list of commissioner nominees to the Benue State House of Assembly for consideration; however, he omitted to include their names, stating that the names will be made public after the screening process.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in opposition, charged the governor with sending a “ghost list” to the House, which sparked debate about the development.
The nominees were announced by the Speaker on Tuesday, and screening will start on August 10th.
