The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has made the decision to closely monitor and investigate any unusual increases in the prices of goods and services.
In a statement released by the Ag. Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Adamu Abdullahi, it was expressed that despite the recent strengthening of the Naira against the Dollar, consumers are still facing rising costs without a corresponding decrease in prices.

While the Commission does not have direct control over pricing, it will utilize its existing legal framework to ensure fair competition and protect consumers.
The FCCPC acknowledges the concerns raised by Nigerians regarding the continuous surge in prices and is fully committed to safeguarding consumers from any form of exploitation.
Recognizing the financial burden these escalating prices impose on Nigerian households, the Commission is taking proactive measures to address this pressing issue.
