Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, has stated that he would like to return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
With the four-time NPFL champion Kano Pillars, Musa earned his mark.
The 31-year-old led the NPFL in scoring during the 2009–10 campaign.
The following season, the winger joined VVV Venlo, an Eredivisie team.
In 2021, Musa made a brief return to Pillars.
The former player for Leicester City made hints about his desire to play in the NPFL once more.
“Since I was once a product of the Nigerian league, I will always talk about it. And it brought me to where I am now. I would return to Nigeria and play in the Nigerian League whenever I decide to stop playing football, Musa said on X, a defunct Twitter platform.
But I’m going to stay and play for a long period this time. To express my affection for the Nigerian League to you.”
