The adopted daughter of Mr. Ibu, Chioma Jasmine Okafor, has reportedly been invited by the Lagos police due to allegations that she took N300 million out of the sick actor’s contribution account.

Actress Doris Ogala claimed in a recent Instagram post that Jasmine and the actor’s sons were ordered to be arrested by Stella Maris, Mr. Ibu’s wife.

According to Ogala, Stella said that Jasmine had taken N300 million out of Mr. Ibu’s donation account.

She mentioned that Stella had alleged that the funds were removed from the account to prevent the family from purchasing the new home she had asked for.

“The sons of Ibu and Jasmine have been arrested and are being held at the Alagbon police station.” Ibu’s wife claimed that Jasmine took $300 million out of the account because she intended to use the money that had already been donated for Ibu’s treatments to purchase her new home. She stated, “That’s why she detained Jasmine, but the findings of the investigation show that the money given does not even come close to $300 million.

“Ibu’s wife is requesting a new home, claiming that her current one is leaking water and that the funds raised for Ibu’s medical care should be used to purchase it. They moved a total of 2.5 million dollars to her account for maintenance.

“If the wife has been as excellent as she said, then why did Mr. Ibu take his second kid to the bank and make him signatory? Why didn’t Ibu make the wife a signatory to his account?

“There is more to this; so many things don’t add up.”

The people in issue are currently “with us here at Alagbon,” according to Aminat Mayegun, the police spokesperson for the Lagos FCID annexe, who confirmed the development.

Indeed. We at Alagbon are the ones having the problem. The family is appealing with the police to reach a settlement, despite the police’s best efforts to prosecute them. Investigations into the matter are ongoing,” she stated.

Since disclosing his struggle with an unidentified ailment, Mr. Ibu has been in the spotlight.

Nigerians have responded to the actor’s situation by helping, with some donating money for his surgeries and medical care.

The actor had seven procedures, but ultimately had his leg amputated.

Recently, Stella had stated that Jasmine had embezzled the money donated for his treatment.
