Five alleged online fraudsters have been taken into custody by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Makurdi Zonal Command in Makurdi, Benue State.
According to a statement from the anti-graft office, the individuals were taken into custody on Thursday, November 23, 2023, after reliable information about their suspected involvement in online offences was obtained.

Stanley Tochukwu, Desmond Tochukwu, Dennis Emeka, George Ebuka, and Arinze Odo are the suspects.
Phones, power banks, ATM cards, and some cash were among the items found from the suspects.
The statement stated, “As soon as investigations are completed, they will be charged in court.”
