Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy maintains that Lionel Messi winning the Ballon d’Or in 2023 would be a scandal.
Erling Haaland of Manchester City, in Cundy’s opinion, ought to be declared the undisputed champion of this year’s Ballon d’Or.

Cundy stated on talkSPORT that it would be “a disgrace” if Haaland didn’t win the Ballon d’Or.
Messi will get it because he won the World Cup, which I find to be a shame.
