Apart from himself and Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain, Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal and star for Manchester United, has selected the finest player he has seen.
In an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo made this statement.
Morgan questioned the five-time Ballon d’Or winner about the finest player he has witnessed outside Messi and himself.
Then Ronaldo named Zinedine Zidane, a great at Real Madrid.
Recall that Ronaldo’s Real Madrid manager at the time was Zidane.
Most likely [Messi], sure. I’ve played and battled with him [and] Zidane, probably,” Ronaldo stated (on Piers Uncensored).
Between them, Ronaldo and Messi have garnered 12 Ballon d’Or victories.
