Man Sentenced for Cloning Facebook Account of Rivers SSG by Court

A man has been convicted and given a one-year prison sentence or the choice of community service by a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt.

The court case involved P. Chidera and two others who were accused of cloning Facebook accounts for fraudulent purposes.

Chief Magistrate Rita Oguguo delivered the verdict, finding Chidera guilty of cloning the Facebook account of Tammy Danagogo, the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, and using it to commit fraud.

The prosecution successfully presented evidence to support the fraud charges against the accused.

As part of the sentence, Chidera has the option to serve the community by performing tasks such as sweeping, grass cutting, and drainage cleaning from the Rivers State Government House back gate at Jumbo Street, Old GRA Port Harcourt to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

This community service is required to be carried out four times a week for a duration of three months.
