Ijioma Kalu, 39, was sentenced to 15 months in prison by an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun on Tuesday for breaking into a home and stealing property worth N2 million.
After Kalu pleaded guilty to burglary, conspiracy, and stealing, the magistrate, Mr. O. O. Okiki, sentenced him to prison without the possibility of a fine.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. E. O. Adaraloye, informed the court that the crimes were perpetrated on June 23 at 8:35 p.m. at Alawode Street, Lafenwa, Itele-Awori area, Ota, by the convict and those still at large.
According to Adaraloye, the offender broke into Grace Eduvie’s home and took N2 million worth of household goods that were left in Patience Atunu’s care.
He said that the offences were against the 2006 Ogun Criminal Code, according to NAN.
