In Ekiti State, a man whose identity remains unknown has tragically killed his wife due to suspicions of infidelity.
The distressing incident took place over the weekend on Christ Avenue, located in the Adebayo area of Ado-Ekiti.
According to a resident of the area, the incident occurred on Friday evening, while another source claims it happened on Saturday morning.
Prior to the altercation, the couple had sent their eldest child on an errand and locked the door to their apartment.
However, tensions escalated, resulting in a violent confrontation between the man, who was reportedly a law enforcement agent, and his wife, who worked at a chemist shop.

Both individuals resorted to using sharp objects to harm each other during the fight, although it remains unclear whether knives or bottles were involved.
The couple’s younger child, approximately five years old, was present during the horrifying ordeal as they locked themselves inside their apartment.
The catalyst for the altercation was the husband’s accusation of his wife’s infidelity.
As the argument intensified, it tragically culminated in the man fatally stabbing his wife. Disturbed by the commotion, concerned individuals attempted to intervene, only to find the apartment door locked.
In a desperate attempt to gain access, some individuals removed parts of the ceiling. Upon entering, they discovered both the deceased woman and her husband with injuries covering their bodies.
The woman was unconscious and was immediately rushed to the hospital, but sadly, she passed away before reaching medical assistance.
The incident has been reported to the local police station, and the man has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment. Law enforcement officers are closely monitoring his condition.
