Man Allegedly Kills Grandfather, Uncle for Ritual in Oyo
The EFCC has arrested 46 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation conducted in Delta State, continuing its crackdown on cybercrime.
Alfa Ahmed, identified as a culprit in Ibadan’s shocking event in Oyo state, has purportedly committed murder against his grandfather and uncle for the sake of performing money rituals.
On Sunday evening, a tragic incident happened at the rear of the well-known Apete Market situated in Ido Local Government Area.
OBASANJONEWS investigations reveal that the perpetrator exploited his grandfather’s loss of sight and his uncle’s poor health to commit the heinous deed.
According to reports, the individuals residing with the suspect were assaulted in their residence at approximately 6:30 PM.

According to an anonymous eyewitness, Alfa Ahmed took advantage of his grandfather’s blindness and the ill health of his uncle who were both in a vulnerable state. Ahmed is well known in the area.
Local residents alerted the police due to the tense situation at the scene, which was rumored to have been caused by a motive for using body parts in a money ritual. However, these reports remain unconfirmed.
The incident has been confirmed by Adewale Osifeso, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state. He further stated that investigations are currently ongoing and assured that updates will be given as necessary.
The community remains stunned by the horrific act as the investigation persists.
