Nnamdi Kanu’s special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, has warned the Department of State Services (DSS) for disobeying a court order for the release of his client.

Ejimakor forewarned that if Kanu wasn’t released, DSS would face swift legal action.

This information was provided by the Special Counsel, who also mentioned that he had given the DSS a final administrative demand for Kanu’s release.

Ejimakor stated in a tweet: “Yesterday, I served on the DSS a last ‘administrative’ demand to free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in accordance with the Federal High Court’s 26th October Judgment (Umuahia).
If you don’t cooperate, quick “judicial” action will be taken to make sure you do.

Since his arrest in June 2021 in Kenya and subsequent extraordinary rendition, Kanu had been imprisoned by the DSS.

Because of his advocacy for the actualization of Biafra, the IPOB leader was chosen.

Kanu was granted bail by the Court of Appeal in Abuja after his detention and arraignment, but the Nigerian government refused to free him.

The IPOB leader’s re-arrest in Kenya was deemed unlawful and unconstitutional by a Federal High Court in Umuahia, Abia State.
