At her residence in Maiduguri’s Gidan Dembe district, Bukar Abacha’s daughter was murdered. She was a lawmaker for the Ngala seat in the Borno house of assembly.

TheCable received confirmation of the incident on Wednesday from state police spokesperson Kamilu Sani.

Whether gunmen were involved in the culpable homicide or not has still to be determined, he said. “We actually received a report on the killing,” he said.

“According to the information we have, the incident took place at 7:00 AM.

In order to determine the circumstances surrounding the murder and to apprehend and prosecute those responsible, the police have already started a covert investigation.

The criminals “strangled” the lawmaker’s daughter to death, according to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency periodical from the Lake Chad region.

According to the article, the victim’s husband carried her body to the police station; it also stated that her body was discovered at home with her wrists and legs bound behind her back.

The victim’s two-year-old daughter was reportedly discovered sobbing next to her body.

The Gwange police division took the body to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for an autopsy and an inquiry, Makama continued.
