Landlord’s 11-year-old daughter assaulted by man in Delta
A man named Ernest Okporu, who is 39 years old and married, has been accused of sexually assaulting the 11-year-old daughter of his landlord in Osubi community, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

The alleged incident took place on Saturday, March 23, and the suspect is currently being held in custody at the Orerokpe Police Station.
According to reports, Okporu asked the young girl to retrieve his phone charger from his residence, but then proceeded to assault her by grabbing her from behind, tying her hands, and forcing himself on her without her consent.
After the assault, he threatened the victim, warning her that she would be killed if she told anyone about what had happened.
Medical examinations confirmed that the girl had been sexually assaulted, with evidence of penetration and the presence of semen.
Okporu has confessed to the crime and has asked for forgiveness from the girl’s father. Human rights activist Comrade Kelvin Ejumudo has verified the incident and stated that the suspect will face legal proceedings in court soon.
The Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has also confirmed the report, with the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, providing details of the case in a phone conversation with the media.
