Lagos was once a huge slum, but thanks to this man’s innovative ideas, it is now Africa’s third-largest economy.
Kashim Shettima asserts that Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, was essential to the change in Lagos State.
The APC vice presidential candidate remarked, “You and I know that when Asiwaju became the governor of Lagos, the fear of Lagos for the typical northerner was the beginning of wisdom,” on Monday at a banquet for President Muhammadu Buhari in Lagos State.
“Lagos used to be a super slum, but because of the excellence of this man’s ideas, Lagos is today Africa’s third-largest economy.” By the end of the decade, the Lagos government is expected to have the third-largest economy in the world, up from N600m in monthly internally generated revenue.
The former governor of Borno State urged people to line up behind Tinubu, the APC’s nominee, saying Tinubu can use his wealth of experience to his advantage if elected president of Nigeria next month.

He praised President Buhari for selecting Tinubu as the APC’s presidential candidate and referred to the elections as a turning point in the history of the nation.
Shettima continued, “I will implore you all to vote for the one who will uphold President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacies; for someone who has the integrity, the character, and the aptitudes to propel this country to a higher height.”
debt of appreciation
He believes that the northern area should salute Tinubu. He said that the former governor of Lagos provided protection for local leaders who were the targets of political persecution.
Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, and Nuhu Ribadu, a former head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), were two of the individuals Shettima mentioned. Aside from them, the APC vice presidential candidate claimed that the area would never forget Tinubu’s support for Buhari in the 2015 and 2019 elections.
We in the north owe him a debt of gratitude for his support of President Muhammadu Buhari in the general elections in 2015 and 2019.
He also rejected assertions regarding Tinubu’s age and health.
We’re not training for the Olympics,” Shettima insisted, “but for an institution that feeds on the superiority of ideas and proven track records.”
