Lagos Government To Fix Third Mainland Bridge This Sunday

Drivers are urged to exercise patience as the actions done are intended to provide everyone with high-quality and secure road infrastructure.

The Third Mainland Bridge will undergo rehabilitation work on Sunday (tomorrow) to fix identified failed/peeled asphaltic areas, according to the Lagos State Government.

Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the state’s commissioner for transportation, revealed Saturday’s traffic diversion plans for the repair procedure, which will take place between 9 am and 4 pm.

Traffic would be switched from one lane to another at the bridge’s identified defective asphaltic parts, according to Oladeinde, who cited the Lagos State Public Works Corporation’s readiness to carry out the job.

He continued by saying that this was a quick way to address traffic backups along the bridge during peak hours caused by the faulty parts.

Oladeinde provided the residents of Lagos the reassurance that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be “completely” present to manage traffic in order to lessen the inconveniences.
