Lagos an articulating vehicle crushes a car while three people manage to survive

A 40-foot container fell on a Toyota Corolla on Sunday night on Ojuelegba Bridge inside the stadium, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), however no fatalities were reported.

In a statement issued on Monday in Lagos and signed by the director of the organization’s public affairs and education division, Mr. Taofiq Adebayo, the LASTMA traffic officer Olajide Olukoga verified the occurrence.

The collision, which happened at 10.30 p.m., Olukoga claimed, harmed three people.

According to him, three victims were pulled from the trapped saloon car with the licence plate JJJ 811 FB by LASTMA, police, and other emergency personnel.

Only one male, he claimed, was unharmed and given the go-ahead after being one of the three victims pulled from the automobile.

He reported that the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency ambulance took an adult male and adult female victim and transported them to the hospital.

However, the traffic officer claimed that Surulere Division police were on the scene to offer sufficient protection as LASTMA officials redirected traffic to the service lane.

He claimed that LASTMA authorities had temporarily closed the whole Ojuelegba Bridge, directing vehicles to the service lane within the stadium.

The temporarily closed Ojuelegba bridge was promptly reopened for vehicular traffic by LASTMA personnel, he continued, and rescue and recovery operations were concluded around 11.30 p.m.
