Earlier, ASP Zedekiah Orogbemi, the prosecution, told the court that the defendant had committed the offences at No. 24, Odesanmi Street in Okitipupa on September 27, 2023, at around 10:00 a.m.

He stated that the defendant broke into the room of one Miss Damilola Solomon and took an audio player valued at N26,000, as well as garments and a petrol cylinder priced at N53,000. Blessing Sunday’s room was also broken into by the defendant.

Sections 411 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ondo State, 2006, according to Orogbemi, stipulated the penalties for the infractions.
