The expulsion of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate in the general elections of 2023, has been reiterated by the Executive Committee and North East zone stakeholders of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Following the North East executive and stakeholders meeting on Friday in Bauchi, this was revealed in a press release.
The NNPP North East also voiced its displeasure with the Appeal Court’s decision to remove Abba Kabir Yusuf as governor of Kano State.

In the statement read to reporters, NNPP National Vice Chairman North, Dr. Babayo Liman, urged unity among NNPP members across the country and vowed to continue supporting the governor.
The dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the NNPP, headed by Abba Kawu Ali, was also confirmed at the meeting.
Dr. Boniface Aniebonan, the founder and life member of the Board of Trustees, received a vote of confidence from both the North East NNPP executive committee and stakeholders.
The appointment of Engineer Mohammed Babayo Abdullahi as Secretary and Dr. Tope Aluko as Chairman of the Board of Trustees was reaffirmed during the meeting.
It was also reiterated that Dr. Agbo Major would lead the new NWC in its appointment.
