Kogi governor: We’re presenting the APGA as the most electable candidate

The Kogi branch of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) claims to be running the most electrifying candidate in the state’s upcoming governorship election on November 11.

According to OBASANJO NEWS24, Mr. Idoko Kingsley Ilonah is the APGA’s nominee for governor, and Yakubu Bawa is his running mate.

The spokesperson for the Ilonah/Bawa APGA Campaign Council in Kogi, Mr. Aliyu Ibrahim, stated at a news conference on Thursday in Lokoja that the party’s candidate remained the most qualified and eligible among the competition.

He claims that Ilonah is a capable guy who can use Kogi’s resources to increase the state’s internal generated revenue (IGR), provide quality functional education, and create jobs for the state’s hordes of unemployed youngsters.

“Our candidate is qualified, an upright man, and qualified to bring Kogi the needed development.

Ibrahim claimed that among all the candidates put out by other political parties, Ilonah was the most marketable.

If elected, he guaranteed that the APGA government in Kogi will not rely on regular payments from the federal government to develop the state.

The spokesperson highlighted that the party was well-prepared for the governorship race and urged the populace to turn out in large numbers to support APGA.

He described Kogi’s enormous problems with unemployment, a lack of infrastructure, restless young, and poor IGR and how they needed urgent remedies.

“Kogi has an extremely high unemployment rate and a lot of poverty, both of which need to be promptly addressed.

“The people of Kogi remain in need despite the abundance of both human and mineral resources.

“Our administration is poised to change the narratives within the shortest period,” he stated, if elected governor of Kogi in November.

He told the populace that Kogi would rely heavily on its own resources for development under the APGA government.

He emphasised that the APGA administration will look at a number of other options in order to avoid having to wait for monthly allocations, saying the party would place a strong emphasis on young empowerment.

He pledged to build a clothing or fashion sector in the state under the APGA administration.

Therefore, the spokesman asked the people to make an informed decision and support the Ilonah/Bawa APGA ticket in the upcoming state election.

Also addressing, Mr. Moses Ajodo, the state’s APGA chairman, said Ilonah has the ability, which he has demonstrated over time in his private companies.

Ajodo emphasised that Ilonah will effectively use the state’s abundant riches for the benefit of the populace if given the chance to lead the confluence state.

Abdulaziz Arikora, the director general of the Ilonah/Bawa APGA Campaign Council, called on the party’s officials and members to return to their respective local government areas and rally all of the support possible for the candidate.
